Aluminium separator SWP-12B

The SWP-12B type eddy current separator is designed for automatic separation of aluminum cans and other larger non-ferrous metals from waste materials. The SWP-12B separator recovers mainly aluminum, but also larger pieces of copper, magnesium, zinc, silver and other valuable non-ferrous metals.

The SWP-12B separator of aluminium is reliable, very robust and designed for continuous operation. It is characterized by high efficiency in separating aluminum cans. The powerful neodymium permanent magnets used in the polar wheel have high coercivity, which makes them difficult to demagnetize. This makes the aluminium can separator have a long service life.

Working principle of the aluminium separator

The operation of the aluminium separator is based on the principle of magnetic induction. A polar wheel rotating at high speed creates a high frequency alternating magnetic field that induces strong eddy currents in metals. Due to the flow of current in aluminium cans, a secondary magnetic field is created that opposes the magnetic field of the rotor. The interaction of these fields leads to the creation of the Lorentz repulsive force, which counteracts the force of gravity. The resultant force pushes the aluminium cans out of the stream of transported material. The SWP-12B separator is characterized by a long-range variable magnetic field ensuring the highest separation efficiency of aluminum cans and other larger non-ferrous metals.
